UCD SCA

History

SCA was started in 2010 to bring together both the religious and cultural aspects of the Punjabi community. Sikhi has had a very big impact on the history of Hindustan and Punjab in general. The mission of SCA was and is: to bring awareness to the Punjabi community and the difference, yet unity in its religion and culture.

Philosophy

Sikhism is a monotheistic belief in mediation of the true name, earning honest living, and sharing the fruit's of one's labor. Today, there are more than 27 million Sikhs worldwide.

Informative meeting explaining what SCA and BPSHI are about.. Other groups that will aslo be providing info at the meeting include Lalkaar and Bhangre Di Jaan (BDJ). Please be sure to attend and bring your friends! THERE WILL BE FOOD AND RAFFLES!!

SCA will be hosting a Halloween Social dedicated to bringing everyone together to migle with friends and meet new ones. There will be food, games, and so much more! We look forward to having your delightful presence there so please do come by.

SCA is an organization dedicated to bring awareness to the Sikhi and Punjabi cultural aspect of the Indian community. If you would like more information about Sikhi such as how 1984 has impacted many lives of sikhs, please view our Sikh Knowledge page. The page is dedicated to bringing awareness to events regarding political movements, atrocities, and much more occuring in the sikh community, infact Punjab in general as well.  The page will provide information regarding human rights and also movements done for sikhi by other college students in Canada to get an understanding of a broader impact religion and culture has on the community.
